Laser Cutting
To round out our core processes, we also have 2 CO2 lasers. This equipment can cut almost any shape in thin or sheet product in a wide range of materials from ceramics, steels, aluminum and stainless.
Although not as accurate as conventional CNC machining, the laser process can still hold tolerances in the 0.002 to 0.005 range (depending on material and thickness). This process cuts very fast and in many cases is less than machining. Many machined components can fall into this cost effective category.
The laser process is often used here for rapid fixturing and prototyping for in house uses.
We can generate CNC code from customer file or generate files from customer “paper prints”.
